Who is it for?
Breeders who want to raise hornworms without relying on fresh tobacco or tomato. DML-1 is a balanced diet formulated for Sphingidae larvae accept it readily from L1 onward. One kit is sufficient to rear 20-30 larvae to full size.
The mesh inserts sit inside the Petri dishes as a raised platform for the diet, keeping larvae separated from frass and reducing contamination. The container mesh serves as a support platform for larvae in later instars, keeping them off the diet surface and maintaining cleaner rearing conditions through to pupation. Please make sure to have a suitable enclosure ready for when larvae reach L3/L4, as they will quickly outgrow the Petri dishes.
